breeding of thai cats

About us

The company of cats brings people a lot of pleasure. It was my mom (and her mom before her) who passed down this priceless knowledge to us. In our house, there have always been cats – strays, shelter-adopted ones, and one thoroughbred cat. Why was it a Thai cat? Because when my mom was six years old, she was gifted with a Thai cat, and since then, she had never seen such a smart, beautiful, dedicated, and unconditionally loving being.

When the pandemic came and we were locked in our houses, we didn’t have any four-legged friends. I wanted to fill that void not only with someone with whom I would share my space, emotions, and every free moment but also someone with whom I would experience the moment that my mom had told me about so many times – kitten birth. I dreamed of a girl who, in the future, would become a mom to those adorable, funny marshmallows that are kittens. It turned out not to be so simple! At first, I read a lot about different breeds – I liked many of them – however, none of them had the personality that would go along with royal beauty, health, and longevity, which were associated with Thai cats. We started looking for a cattery that would entrust us with a non-sterilized girl, and this is where the adventure started. According to Polish law, we had to register a cattery and find out what came with it – at least theoretically. And we were in! All of us, the whole family…

About the breed

THAI CAT is first and foremost a friend, accompanying humans, both adults and children, in all their everyday activities as it is in its primal nature. However, it does so tactfully and unobtrusively, as if it were able to understand the need for independence of every being. Relaxing with people is its favourite pastime – it loves to read, watch TV series, nap in the afternoon, or lounge over the weekend. There is a reason why dog characteristics are associated with it. If taught from a very young age, a Thai cat will be able to retrieve, walk on a leash, or travel with a human. It is very intelligent and empathetic. It is not the type of cat that lives its own life somewhere far away from people or one that could be “put back on the shelf”. It is a cat that bonds deeply with a human, and when doing so, it becomes attached and giving. It likes the company of other animals that don’t necessarily need to be cats.
